In addition to the butcher’s shop, where the Fries family offers meat and sausage products from their own straw-fed pigs three times a week, the Lokbest Store software solution has now been used to set up a self-service farm store that is open around the clock – for anyone who wants to buy regional products flexibly and cashlessly via app.
Since February 2025, Baurerwanger’s 24/7 store variety has been open in Westendorf near Augsburg – a modern smart store that relies on digital direct marketing. Customers gain access via the Lokbest app, scan their products themselves and pay conveniently by smartphone or card. The self-service store makes it possible to buy fresh products directly from the farm regardless of store opening hours – from sausage and meat specialties from the farm’s own butcher’s shop to home-made food and products from the region.
The family business also offers a comprehensive catering and party service in the Augsburg, Aichach, Dillingen, Donauwörth, Munich, Nuremberg and Ulm areas. Whether a wedding, company celebration or anniversary – the in-house event room in Westendorf is also a flexible event location.
